The above image was just taken from the Wichita area radar.  A solid line of severe storms extends from North of Hiawatha to Topeka to Howard to the Kansas/Oklahoma border Southwest of Sedan.  During the past hour, this line has begun to accelerate to the East at 40-50 mph.

Widespread damaging winds of 60-70 mph, with local gusts to 80 mph, along with hail up to 1 inch diameter can be expected with this line of storms.  Based on present movement, this line of storms will enter Western portions of the Kansas City Metro Area between 9:30 and 10pm CDT.

If you live along or ahead of this line of storms, seek immediate shelter.

If you live in western Missouri, be advised that this line of storms will move into your region beginning at about 10pm (Northern sections) through 11pm to Midnight (Southern sections).  Damaging winds of 70-80 mph will be possible with the stronger storms.
