Via Twitter, the above picture was taken by a resident of Snowshoe/Edray, WV, with some "art work" added to the light dusting of snow on their vehicle this morning.
A similar dusting took place over the mountains of Virginia and North Carolina overnight and early this morning. The photo below was taken near Boone, NC:

While this event was certainly nothing to go down in the record books, it is certainly a reminder that winter is fast approaching...
