Winds Gradually Backing-Off in Midwest; Chilly Night Instore...

Winds are subsiding from West to East across the Midwest at this hour. The image below shows current sustained winds of 20-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph in the darker blue shaded areas:


Winds will remain rather strong and gusty across the eastern Great Lakes and into the Ohio Valley and New England overnight, but they will calm down quite a bit further to the West, leading to a chilly night across much of the Midwest, Central Plains and Mississippi Valley.


Frost and/or Freeze Warnings are in effect tonight for the areas shaded in light blue and purple on the image below:
