A new Tornado Watch has recently been issued for west-central Georgia, valid until 4pm CST. The Atlanta Metro area is not included at this time:
...and the following Tornado Watch over Alabama and extreme northwest Georgia continues until 10am CST:
A band of strong to severe thundstorms will continue to move Eastward across the region today. Large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible with the activity.
The latest severe weather outlook for today from the SPC is shown below. If you live anywhere within or immediately East of the yellow shaded areas on the image, please keep an eye on the weather today and be prepared to seek shelter if a warning is issued for your area:
